Why a Suspended (Drop) Ceiling?

Cleaner look: Conceals wiring, ducting and pipework while keeping easy access for maintenance.
Quieter rooms: Combine grid systems with acoustic tiles to reduce echo and noise transfer, ideal for offices, meeting rooms and classrooms.
Better lighting & services: Integrate LED panels, vents and sprinklers neatly into the grid.
Energy efficiency: Reduce the room volume you heat and cool.
Fast upgrades & repairs: Swap damaged tiles without redoing the whole ceiling.

Drop Celings

Rondo - Exposed Grid (T‑bar) Ceilings

Popular for commercial and retail spaces, an exposed grid system pairs a Rondo DONN® grid with lay‑in tiles. The grid provides quick, tool‑light assembly (thanks to Quick Release Clips) and is available in 24 mm or slimline 15 mm face options for different design looks.

    Plasterboard Ceilings on Metal Battens

For a seamless, paint‑ready finish in homes and premium interiors, we install plasterboard on steel battens (e.g., Rondo ceiling systems) to achieve straight lines that resist warping, with options for bracing, services coordination and feature bulkheads.

Acoustic, Moisture Resistant & Fire‑Perform Options

We supply ceiling tiles from leading NZ suppliers to match your property / performance needs like acoustic control, humidity resistance for kitchens/bathrooms, and the appropriate fire performance ratings for your building use.

Compliance & Seismic Bracing (NZ Standards)

Your ceiling is designed and installed to meet NZ requirements. Seismic bracing follows the earthquake actions standard NZS 1170.5, referenced by B1/VM1 for Building Code compliance.
Where relevant, we align specifications with the suspended ceilings standard (NZS 2785) and project factors such as location, building importance level, ceiling height and mass of grid/tiles.
For fire safety in non‑SH risk groups (most commercial buildings), we select systems and linings in line with C/AS2 (Protection from Fire) requirements.
For intertenancy acoustic targets (e.g., multi‑unit residential), we follow local practice notes for G6 Airborne & Impact Sound (e.g., typical STC/IIC 55 guidance). We’ll propose build‑ups that meet consent expectations for your project.
